About Philip Battley
Philip Battley was born in Plymouth in 1977. After leaving school he attended civil engineering college in Norfolk where he lived for a year and trained as a scaffolder. He returned to Plymouth in 1994 and continued this work until 2011.
Always holding a keen interest in art Philip attended various evening courses at Plymouth College of Art and enjoys to work in different mediums.
In 2013 he became a member of the Plymouth Arts Club and in 2014 won the club’s annual Claude Kitto award for imagination and creativity. Philip is currently studying at Plymouth College of Art and is hoping to progress onto a degree.
